How is it so far from the truth? i have absolutely 0 issues with map awareness and yes i do use the back button but you didn't ask that, just assumed i didn't, i guess? The minimap DOES have an impact on the outcome of the game. In tiers 8-10, it's more than likely that you've learned by now to watch the map and see where you should go to support or lead a team.
You might see this less often in Tiers 5-7, but it still happens here too. This is why you so often see everyone on a team go down the same route in low tier matches (tiers 3-5). If you only use the round/compass minimap, and don't frequently check the big map, you completely lack situational awareness of the match overall.
